ITI International Trade Institute website opens ASEAN languages learning zone for daily use
Due to the popularity of Internet and smart phones, digital learning has become an unstoppable trend. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) launched an online learning zone (學習專區) last year and first provides English language learning service “ITI English” . For new southbound policy, it also expanded its services to provide learning opportunities in Southeast Asian languages "ITI ASEAN" which are Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, and Burmese.
TAITRA has been entrusted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to handle international business management classes (ITI) and has trained international corporate talents for more than 30 years. In order to response to the trend of digitalization, the "Learning Zone" (學習專區) was established on the official website of the Training Center (www.iti.org.tw) last year. It became a free foreign languages online learning channel for the public to learn and practice.
Under the government's new southbound policy promotion, Southeast Asian languages learning has become a rising star. The "ITI ASEAN" zone introduces the basic everyday language of Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai and Burmese. The videos uses international phonetic symbols to guide you how to speak, and explains the composition and pronunciation principles of each language in words. It also explains the meaning of the words and the use of each sentence, the ending words used by men and women, and the gestures or body postures that can be used when speaking.
ITI encourages people to use more resource in this website to acquire second or third foreign language expertise, increase the soft power of the workplace and to open the door to the new southbound.
