Mrs. Hiers, a tourist from the United States, was on her way to the hotel in Taichung in the evening. Because taxi driver was unsure of the hotel's precise location, he turned to the police at Taichung Park Police Station. The driver then took Mrs. Hiers to the hotel under the guidance of the police. In order to thank the police for their assistance, Mrs. Hiers went back to the police station to thank the police in person.

Mrs. Hiers, a traveler from Wisconsin in the United States, visited friends in Taiwan. She claimed that the Taiwanese police's kind attitude touched her, and she felt that she needs to visit them in person to express her gratitude.

According to the director (吳政和) of the Taichung Park Police Station, the police labor around-the-clock to protect the public and advance national diplomacy. He urges people to call 110 for assistance or go to the local police station if they are experiencing an emergency and need assistance.
