This enchanting scent comes from Zaneta, a Polish immigrant who has mastered the magic of baking, blending the traditional flavors of her homeland with the Taiwanese palate. Every bite of her cakes carries warmth and nostalgia.
Her bakery, "Polish Wife Dessert House," has gained over 5,000 followers online and boasts an impressive 4.9-star rating on Google. Her signature Polish cheesecake and blueberry cake have become classics among Taiwanese food lovers, turning every bite into a sweet cultural encounter.
From the Struggles of a Foreign Land to the Sweet Taste of Success
Zaneta’s journey to entrepreneurship was not without challenges. In 2017, she moved to Taiwan for marriage, facing language barriers, cultural differences, and the pressures of raising a family. To minimize risks, she and her husband initially launched their business online, learning digital marketing from scratch to build their brand.
She meticulously developed each recipe by hand, carefully selecting ingredients and monitoring calories to create desserts that reflect her passion and dedication. Her persistence eventually paid off, earning her growing recognition in the Taiwanese market and bringing newfound brightness to her life.

Today, Zaneta is not only in love with Shanhua, Tainan, but she is also actively promoting its culture and cuisine. She created the "Polish Girl in Taiwan" Facebook page to share her experiences as a foreigner while translating local historical texts to introduce Taiwan’s beauty to the international community.
But her dreams extend beyond social media. She envisions opening a garden café, where she can grow cacao and avocado on her balcony, creating a space that merges nature with handmade desserts. Through her baked goods, she hopes to introduce more Taiwanese people to Polish culture, while also inspiring fellow immigrants to chase their dreams and embrace their own "New Taiwanese Story."
Zaneta has connected her two homelands through baking, and in doing so, she has touched countless hearts. Her desserts are not just food—they represent the persistence of a foreigner’s dreams and serve as a bridge of warmth in cross-cultural exchange.
