To promote equality, respect and multiculturalism, the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, is organizing the “Next Frame, Speak Up for Understanding” 2026 Short Video Competition Against Racial Discrimination. Domestic university and college students are invited to use video creativity to explore issues related to racial discrimination and express their perspectives on equality and respect through short videos, turning creativity into a force for breaking down prejudice and promoting understanding.
Racial discrimination does not always appear in the form of obvious conflict. A comment in everyday life, a stereotype, or even seemingly unintentional words may constitute “microaggressions” and further affect equal opportunities in education, employment and housing for different groups. The competition encourages participants to draw inspiration from their own experiences, observe multicultural issues in society and express their thoughts through video, encouraging more people to reconsider the importance of understanding, respect and equality.
There are no restrictions on the creative format. Participants may use drama, animation, advertisements or other forms of visual expression to incorporate their observations on eliminating racial discrimination into their works. Videos should be 30 to 90 seconds long and presented vertically in a 9:16 format, making every frame a starting point for overcoming prejudice and building understanding. Whether based on personal experiences or observations of people and events around them, participants can use creative videos to convey the concept of multicultural inclusion.
The “Next Frame, Speak Up for Understanding” 2026 Short Video Competition Against Racial Discrimination offers a total of 16 award opportunities, with prizes worth more than NT$420,000, including an Apple four-device prize package, an ACER laptop, an iPhone 17 and a Nintendo Switch.
