Foreign passengers entering and leaving Taiwan on the same international cruise ship can now directly use the e-Gate for immigration clearance.
● Effect: Reduces queuing; estimated to save 40% of waiting time.
2. No Fingerprint Scanning at Manual Counters
If using a manual counter, passengers will only need to have their facial image recorded; fingerprinting is no longer required.
● Effect: Reduces inspection time by 20% per person; improves overall clearance efficiency.

3. No Departure Stamp on Passports
When cruise passengers depart, passports will no longer be stamped with a departure clearance stamp.
● Effect: Saved 67 hours of processing time during the trial period; accelerates clearance speed.
4. No Entry Stamp on Passport Photocopies
Passengers who have completed pre-arrival inspection can disembark for sightseeing with a photocopy of their passport. In the future, the photocopy will also be exempt from stamping.
● Effect: Reduces waiting and collection time; makes the disembarkation process more convenient.
