On April 9, the second EU humanitarian aid flight carrying 55 tons of emergency supplies arrived in Yangon, Myanmar, to support communities affected by the recent earthquake.
The EU-organized shipment includes emergency shelter materials, medical supplies, and other essential items. Distribution will be handled locally by the Italian humanitarian organization Cesvi Onlus to ensure that aid reaches those most in need.

In addition, the EU announced an extra €13 million in humanitarian assistance, bringing its total aid commitment to Myanmar to €33 million by 2025.
The EU emphasized its continued coordination with local and international partners to ensure that aid reaches disaster victims effectively and in a targeted manner.
