Yao Xuan (耀萱), an immigrant from Hong Kong, stated that her son could only stay in Taiwan for a limited period as a Dependent Relative due to laws and regulations of Taiwan. Therefore, the son needs to travel back and forth between Taiwan and Hong Kong. Facing financial burden as Yao Xuan’s husband is the only breadwinner of the family, NIA Nantou County Service Center provided assistance to them.

Shan Li (善麗), an immigrant from Cambodia, was ordered to exit within a certain time as her Dependent Relative expired. As Shan Li needed to take care of her young children, she entered Taiwan again in March 2007. However, she could not work legally because of her status and was again ordered to exit Taiwan.

In recent days, Keelung City Service Center has understood the problems that Shan Li is facing and is actively taking care of her family by preparing documents for her to return to Taiwan.
