To assist first-time job seekers and young people in atypical employment in securing stable jobs, the Ministry of Labor has launched the "First-Time Job Seekers Stable Employment Program." This initiative provides employment consultation, career guidance, job-seeking allowances, and employment incentive bonuses, with a total subsidy of up to NT$45,000. Additionally, the program includes cross-regional employment subsidies to ease the financial burden of relocating for work.
A 25-year-old young man named Axuan is one of the beneficiaries. He graduated with a degree in mechanical and computer engineering and aspired to become an engineer. However, due to having only part-time work experience during school, he struggled to find a job. With the guidance of employment service staff at the Nantou Employment Center, he refined his resume, strengthened his professional certifications and academic achievements, and gained insight into the job market. Eventually, he successfully landed a position as an engineer at a publicly listed computer company in Taoyuan. Moreover, Axuan applied for the cross-regional rental subsidy through the program, which helped ease his financial burden and allowed him to start his career smoothly.
The Central Taiwan Branch of the Workforce Development Agency stated that the "First-Time Job Seekers Stable Employment Program" is designed for unemployed youth aged 15 to 29 who are not currently in school and have been jobless for at least 90 consecutive days. The program offers a job-seeking allowance of NT$5,000 per month, up to NT$15,000 in total. Additionally, after securing employment, participants who remain at the same company for 30, 90, and 180 days can receive employment incentive bonuses of up to NT$35,000. Furthermore, for youth relocating for work, the program provides transportation, housing, and moving subsidies, ensuring they can focus on their careers without financial worries.
