To mark the International Day of Families, Hsinchu County will hold a parent-child challenge event on May 1 at Zhubei Civil Sports Center, offering families a new option for a holiday outing through interactive games and educational activities. Online registration is now open with 500 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event has already drawn attention from many families planning their holiday schedules in advance.
The event features 13 challenge stations designed with the participation of multiple organizations. Topics such as health promotion, family interaction, and multicultural learning are turned into hands-on challenge experiences, allowing participants to explore different kinds of knowledge through play. Families who complete the missions and collect stamps can redeem a raffle ticket, adding more fun while encouraging teamwork and cooperation.
A variety of experience activities will also be available on site, including herbal tea bag DIY, painted bamboo hats, and parent-child craft games. These activities are designed to create more opportunities for families to interact while learning about different cultural and everyday life elements. This year, an interactive theater performance will also be part of the program, combining physical theater and balloon art to create a more engaging atmosphere.
As digital lifestyles continue to shape daily routines, family members are spending more time on their own devices. Events like this offer valuable face-to-face interaction, helping parents and children reconnect through games and shared experiences. Registration is available online, and those interested are encouraged to sign up early at the registration page: https://www.beclass.com/rid=30525dd69b8fffdcf8e0
