The Ankeng Light Rail began accepting passengers in February of this year. The New Taipei City Government intends to make the Ankeng Light Rail a new tourism destination in addition to making locals' mobility more convenient. There are nine stops along the 7.5 kilometers of the Ankeng Light Rail. With fireflies serving as the primary image, the children's book "Travel with Fireflies" (跟著螢火蟲去旅行) was created in collaboration with the artist Lin Shuen-Long (林舜龍), it depicts the regional and cultural significance of Ankeng so that visitors can enjoy installation art at each station.

The installation art at each station of Ankeng light rail is very distinctive. "Sunshine Sports Park Station" and "Cardinal Tien Hospital Ankeng Branch Station" are uncharted attractions recommended by residents of Ankeng.

Xindian Sunshine Park covers an area of 20 hectares. It is close to the Ankeng Light Rail's "Sunshine Sports Park Station." There are nine large water facilities and six significant game theme zones for kids. Beautiful cherry blossoms around 1 km long bloom each spring along the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Avenue (河津櫻花大道) in the park.

When the lotus are in full bloom, it's a fantastic time to appreciate the blossoms at the exclusive beautiful location "Chezi Road Lotus Pond" (車子路荷花池) at "Cardinal Tien Hospital Ankeng Branch Station." The "Ankeng Emerald" Erbazi Botanical Garden, which is close to " Taipei Xiaocheng Station," is a beautiful location to watch the tung tree trails during the New Taipei Tung Blossom Festival in May.

Shisizhang Station (十四張站) serves as a transfer station for the MRT Xindian Line, which you can then take to get to Bitan if you have enough time. The "2023 Bitan Water Dance" (2023碧潭水舞) runs from March 31 to May 28. Water dance shows are presented every night during this time, and along Hemeishan Trail (和美山步道) visitors may also observe fireflies.
