The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW, 衛生福利部) announced on June 30 to expand the prenatal testing service for pregnant residents in Taiwan starting from July.

The MOHW has increased the number of maternity examination services from 10 to 14. In addition, to support infertile couples, the subsidy is extended to all infertile couples, and generally couples apply for the highest subsidy for the first time of NT$100,000.

MOHW has also expanded the infertility IVF subsidy for the low-income households. As long as one of the spouses is the citizen and the wife is under 45 years old, they are eligible for the subsidy.
