Runners looking for a unique winter race now have another exciting option. The 2026 Kenting Japan Airlines International Marathon will take place on November 15 at Dawan Lawn in Kenting, with registration now officially open. Participants will have the chance to run on Taiwan's southernmost marathon course while entering prize draws for Japan Airlines mileage rewards.
According to the Pingtung County Government, this year's event is themed “From Kenting to the World,” combining the spirit of Japan Airlines with Kenting's stunning coastal scenery. The race aims to showcase Pingtung's tourism appeal and establish Kenting as one of Asia's premier winter running destinations.
The marathon features four race categories and offers an “aviation-class” prize program, including 30 Japan Airlines JMB mileage prizes worth 20,000 miles each. Participants can also purchase the newly launched “Sea & Deer Package,” which combines admission to the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium and Deer Park, along with special accommodation offers from partner hotels for a complete running holiday experience.
With limited race entries available, runners from Taiwan and around the world are encouraged to register early and experience the beauty and hospitality of Kenting this winter.
