From urban arts and mountain cuisine to coastal sunsets, Japanese travelers have more options for exploring central Taiwan. Taichung City partnered with STARLUX Airlines to invite creators from Kobe on a familiarization tour, promoting its mountain, coastal, suburban and urban attractions while linking with Nantou tourism for cross-county trips.

The Japanese influencers turned Taichung City's arts, food and coastal scenery into social media content. By combining different areas rather than promoting one attraction, the tour provides useful route and accommodation ideas for independent travelers.

From August 5 to 8, the group visited the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, National Taichung Theater, Gaomei Wetlands and Miaodong Night Market. They will share the city's cultural venues, local food and natural scenery with Japanese audiences as references for planning independent trips.

The itinerary also connected Taichung City with Nantou County, creating cross-county options centered on art, architecture, food and nature. Longer stays may bring more spending on accommodation, dining and cultural experiences across central Taiwan.

The tour has concluded, with follow-up promotion aimed at Japanese and international independent travelers. Overseas visitors can use Taichung International Airport as the starting point for exploring central Taiwan. Further details are available on the Travel Taichung website and official Facebook page.
