Blending energy development with environmental conservation, Taipower and the National Museum of Natural Science launched the “Coexisting with Nature” exhibition on March 31. The exhibition features 10 key species from nine power plants across Taiwan, highlighting conservation efforts and the relationship between energy infrastructure and ecosystems.

Featured species include the critically endangered Yuchi harp frog, black-faced spoonbill, Wushe beetle, and native soybean. Specimens and models present habitat characteristics, offering a tangible view of biodiversity.

A documentary, “Taipower 80: Ecological Symbiosis,” is also screened, showcasing conservation efforts across mountains, wetlands, and coastal areas, alongside long-term monitoring results that reveal how power plant areas evolve into habitats.

Dajiaxi and Wanda power plants have received OECMs recognition as conservation sites, demonstrating the coexistence of energy facilities and nature.

Interactive exhibits and weekend programs are also available, enhancing visitor engagement.
