Alishan is internationally known as a premier sunrise destination. The Alishan Sunrise Impression Concert, staged in the high mountains, has become one of Taiwan's most iconic New Year events, where live music and natural scenery merge at dawn. Each New Year's morning, music resonates through the forest as visitors greet the first light of the year.

The 24th Alishan Sunrise Impression Concert will take place on January 1, 2026, at Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. Upholding its “three highs” concept—high altitude, high quality and high artistic standard—the concert blends music with nature to create a unique sunrise experience.

This year's program features diverse styles, from jazz to rock and classical music. Skyline Fusion Jazz Orchestra opens the morning with light rhythms, Chairman Band brings energetic rock sounds, and Evergreens Symphony Orchestra accompanies the sunrise with powerful orchestral music.

To accommodate New Year travelers, the Alishan Forest Railway will operate the first Zhushan Sunrise train at 2:50 a.m. Group reservations open on December 10 at 9:00 a.m., while individual online ticket sales begin at 6:00 a.m. on December 18.
