New Taipei City will open a marine restoration site in May, allowing the public to learn about fish fry cultivation and release through a free course. The "New Taipei City Marine Sustainability Course", planned by the New Taipei City Government and National Taiwan Ocean University, will be held in mid to late May at the New Taipei City Marine Resources Restoration Park, with 4 sessions and 160 spots for participants aged 3 and above.

The course focuses on marine resource restoration, park tours and hands-on activities. Participants will learn how resources are restored through cultivation, habitat improvement and fish fry release. Unlike indoor lectures, the course brings learning into the restoration park, turning marine conservation into an experience people can observe and join.

Fish fry cultivation, habitat maintenance and release work are not often open to the public. Through guided tours and hands-on activities, the course shows that marine restoration is not a one-time release, but long-term work covering species cultivation, environmental maintenance and follow-up management.

The course is free and includes lunch and insurance. Activities run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration uses a real-name online system, and each applicant may bring up to 3 companions.
