Families with minor children can now borrow up to NT$15 million under the Youth Housing Loan 3.0 program, while newlyweds can borrow up to NT$12 million. Applicants should first check the new age, income and home-price requirements.
The maximum remains NT$10 million for general applicants. Newlywed families receive an additional NT$2 million, while families with minor children may borrow NT$5 million more. Interest subsidies remain available, but actual amounts depend on individual circumstances and bank approval.
Married applicants under the 2.0 program whose loans have not been disbursed may present supporting documents to their original government-owned bank, withdraw the application and reapply under 3.0. Eligible households include married applicants and those in which the applicant or spouse is pregnant or raising minor children. The choice cannot be changed afterward.
The loan remains limited to owner-occupied homes and one application per person. Anyone approved for the program by a government-owned bank on or after August 1, 2023, or previously approved for the youth home loan offered by agricultural financial institutions, cannot apply for 3.0 again.
Applicants should review the new age, income and home-price thresholds on the National Treasury Administration's Preferential Housing Loans for the Youth webpage, then confirm eligibility with a government-owned bank. Those awaiting disbursement should compare both programs before withdrawing and reapplying.
