- Nearly 80 learning courses are launched by New Taipei New Immigrant Learning Center
The New Taipei New Immigrant Learning Center is launching courses among five schools in New Taipei City. New Taipei New Immigrant Learning Center had launched different courses including community education, language learning, humanities, and local culture, family education, general knowledge of laws and regulations, and more. - Tainan launches Multi-language Menu to boost tourism
In 2020, the Tainan City Government launched a Multi-language Menu Optimization Project. Many stores now provide multi-language menus. The project aims to help foreign tourists in Tainan overcome the language difficulty when ordering in Taiwanese stores. - Ang Lee will be the first Taiwanese honored BAFTA Fellowship in London
Renowned Taiwan filmmaker Ang Lee is the winner of this year’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts Fellowship for his outstanding contributions to cinema, the London-based organization announced April 6. Made Sukariawan gave up his stable job at Club Med and followed his beloved wife to Taiwan. He attended a Chinese Level C Chef Qualification Examination, without knowing any Mandarin. He studied the Chinese old exams and recited 600 questions.
