Celebrate Children's Day! The Kaohsiung City Government&rsquos Urban Development Bureau will host the "Qitang Little Ant Amusement Park" event at the "East Nine Road Station - Qitang Agricultural Creative Park" from April 3rd to 6th during the holiday period. The event will feature parent-child sports activities, inflatable playgrounds, adventure games, interactive magic shows, parent-child drama performances, markets, street performances, and a sightseeing train, inviting citizens to enjoy a joyful holiday while experiencing the charm of Kaohsiung's mountain town.
In collaboration with the Taiwan Sugar Corporation, the century-old Cishan Sugar Factory has been transformed into the Qitang Agricultural Creative Park, now a popular recreational spot for citizens. The park offers local delicacies, cultural exhibits, and craft workshops. It also features shaded walkways, a water retention grass slope, a children's balance bike track, and parking facilities. The preserved sugar chimney, lime kiln, and old factory buildings have become popular attractions.
During the Children's Day period, the park will hold a special "Mountain Town Little Knights Balance Bike Race" on April 3rd from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The race is open to children aged 2 to 8, with separate age and gender categories. Registration is limited to 300 participants, and the fee is NT$600. Participants may bring their own 12-inch balance bikes or use those provided by the organizer. Helmets and protective gear are required.

The race is 600 meters, with a shorter 300-meter route for the 2 to 4-year-old group. The top six in each category will receive medals, the top three will win trophies, and all participants will receive a certificate of completion.
Additionally, a "Time Station" themed market will be held daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, featuring second-hand items and light snacks to promote environmental protection and a circular economy. The park also offers tree climbing, rope walking adventures, hand-pulled boat play pools, inflatable ball pools, and the "Little Ladybug Sports Park". Visitors can purchase a NT$300 amusement ticket to experience all the facilities, including a NT$100 market voucher. There will also be magic shows, clown performances, balloon shows, and street artists.
During the event, visitors can take a photo at the park's service center to exchange for souvenirs such as coasters, keychains, handheld fans, and towel hangers, with each item limited to 200 pieces.
For added convenience, the event will provide a free shuttle bus service between Cishan Transfer Station (Cishan Old Street) and the park during the event.
