The Yunlin County Service Station of the Immigration Agency's Southern Affairs Brigade is assisting new immigrants with transportation difficulties in applying for certification rewards. In addition to working with local Household Registration Offices’ "New Immigrant Service Counters" to promote the program, the agency has taken further steps to ensure that eligible new immigrants and second-generation immigrants in Yunlin can successfully apply. Through the "Home Care and Convenient Delivery Service Expansion" initiative, dedicated staff members are assigned to provide door-to-door assistance, completing the entire process from online registration to document submission in one visit. The "2024 Academic Year New Immigrants and Their Children's Empowerment and Scholarship Program" by the National Immigration Agency has officially begun! Applications are open until March 21, 2025. To encourage new immigrants to obtain a Republic of China Technician Certificate, gain professional skills, and enhance job competitiveness, eligible applicants must complete the online application, print it, and submit it along with the required documents to the Immigration Agency for review. Approved applicants will receive a reward ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$50,000. Spread the word and apply now!

Ms. Luo, a new immigrant, shared: "I obtained my Class C Beauty Technician Certificate this year and didn’t know I could apply for a reward. I’m really grateful to the Immigration Agency for their help! I will continue working hard to get my Class A certificate."

Director Huang Zhong-Jie of the Yunlin County Service Station stated that, in line with the New Immigrants Basic Law, efforts have been made to improve support services and daily guidance for new immigrants. All individuals who meet the New Immigrants Basic Law’s eligibility criteria can apply for this year’s "New Immigrants and Their Children's Empowerment and Scholarship Program." Those who have obtained a Class A, B, C, or Single-Level Republic of China Technician Certificate issued by the Ministry of Labor within the past three years (2022, 2023, or 2024) are eligible to apply.
