When immediately asked if she indeed wants Bernardo to be the one for Padilla, Estrada gave a direct affirmative answer.

“Oo naman kasi napakaswerte na ng anak ko kay Kathryn – very responsible,” she said.

(Yes, of course because my son is so lucky to have Kathryn – very responsible.)

Philippine Daily Inquirer mentions, Estrada commended how the two matured in the course of their relationship.

“Ang maganda kasi sa kanila nag-mature sila sa loob ng relationship,” she said. “Nag-grow.”

Though successful in overcoming their teen and young adult phase together, Estrada stressed that the two went through a lot of challenges as a couple. According to her, these were necessary to make them ready for whatever should come their way.

Philippine Daily Inquirer says, “Marami ring pagsubok ‘yan pero okay na rin kasi kung naging perfect yon, baka nagta-taka sila bakit — or kung may dumating na hindi maganda, baka hindi ma-handle,” she noted.

(There were a lot of challenges but it’s okay because if it had been perfect, they may be wondering why — or if something bad comes their way, they might not be able to handle it.)

Bernardo and Padilla have been in a relationship since 2012 but only confirmed it in 2018. The two debuted as a love team in the ABS-CBN TV Series “Growing Up.” JB
