With the growing number of pet owners, the demand for pet healthcare services has also increased. In response, the New Taipei City Animal Protection Office has partnered with the New Taipei Veterinary Association to launch the "Vets on Air - Chat with Veterinarians about Your Furry Friends" online consultation service, which will officially begin on March 13. The livestream will be held on the New Taipei Veterinary Association&rsquos Facebook page every 2nd and 4th week of the month, from 9 PM to 11 PM, inviting professional veterinarians to provide health education information and help pet owners improve their knowledge of pet healthcare.

New Taipei City Agriculture Bureau Director Chen Hsi-Hui stated that the Animal Protection Office has long used social media to promote animal protection awareness. This time, in collaboration with the New Taipei Veterinary Association, they have also invited the National Federation of Veterinary Associations of the Republic of China, the New Taipei Clinical Veterinary Association, and professional veterinarians to participate. Through these diverse approaches, they aim to improve pet owners' understanding of pet health and make quality medical information more accessible.。032608p1.jpgDr. Cheng Yu-Kuang, Director of Mingjia Animal Hospital Dr. Lin Hsiao-Jui, Director of Light Spot Dog and Cat Specialty Hospital Dr. Yao Sheng-Long, Director of Long An Animal Hospital Dr. Li Tian-Hui, Director of Weiguang Animal Hospital and Dr. Lin Meng-Chieh from Quanmei Animal Hospital (from right to left) attended the online consultation launch ceremony. The online livestream will be broadcast on Facebook and YouTube simultaneously, featuring veterinarians from various specialties discussing common pet illnesses, preventive measures, and daily care advice. The session will also allow viewers to ask questions in real-time, overcoming geographical limitations and enabling pet owners to interact directly with veterinarians for expert advice. This service not only promotes pet health education but also helps owners identify when their pets need medical attention to ensure their well-being.

Chairman of the New Taipei Veterinary Association Hsieh Tun-Yuan stated that the first livestream will feature Dr. Lin Hsiao-Jui from Light Spot Animal Hospital and Dr. Yao Sheng-Long, Director of Long An Animal Hospital. They will share their expertise across various veterinary fields and provide insights based on their clinical experience, aiming to help pet owners resolve concerns about pet care.032608p2.jpgThe first livestream featured Dr. Lin Hsiao-Jui (right), Director of Light Spot Dog and Cat Specialty Hospital, and Dr. Yao Sheng-Long (left), Director of Long An Animal Hospital, as the main speakers. The New Taipei City Animal Protection Office emphasized that since government resources are limited, they actively collaborate with veterinary associations, medical societies, animal healthcare institutions, pet food companies, and medical equipment manufacturers. By fostering cross-platform and interdisciplinary cooperation, they aim to promote correct animal protection concepts.
