Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che highlighted that as a culinary capital, Tainan's traditional markets are the top choice for holiday shopping. For instance, the century-old fish maw soup at Dongcai Market is a flavorful favorite, while Xinshi Market's golden thread chicken soup with Chinese herbs is perfect for warming the family reunion. Yongkang Market's smoked chicken and white-cut chicken symbolize prosperity and new beginnings. Pre-orders for these dishes are now open, and customers can pick up their meals at the respective markets.
