The Taichung City Government's Labor Bureau will hold nine sessions and 36 career support growth group courses this year to help job seekers enhance their employability. The courses cover in-person lectures, workplace visits, corporate briefings, and various themes such as career exploration, job search skills, workplace adaptation, digital learning, and industry trend analysis, providing comprehensive employment training for job seekers.

Labor Bureau Director Lin Shu-yuan stated that the courses are designed for different groups, including young and middle-aged adults, middle-aged and elderly individuals, and women returning to the workforce. Topics include "Starting with the End in Mind: A Brilliant Second Life for Seniors," "Women Empowerment: Positive Energy for Returning to the Workplace," "Men Can Talk Too: Understanding Emotions and Stress," "Overcoming Social Anxiety: Building Closer Relationships," "Digital Upgrade: Keeping Up with the Times through Digital Learning," and "Self-Exploration: Discovering Personal Values through Card Games." A past participant, Ah-Ping, shared his experience. Facing career transition struggles as a middle-aged worker, he lost confidence but regained it after joining a group course referred by the employment service center. Through assessment tools, he rediscovered his professional skills and values, successfully securing a managerial role in the manufacturing industry and returning to the workforce. He expressed gratitude to the city government and instructors for their dedicated efforts that restored his confidence.

The Taichung City Employment Service Office added that from March 25 to 26, they will hold a group course titled "Explore Employability, Say Yes to My Future" to help participants understand their strengths through assessment tools and improve their job readiness. Additionally, workplace visits and corporate briefings are planned as part of the employment promotion activities. All courses are free, and interested individuals are encouraged to register.
