National Immigration Agency (NIA) staff informed about common consumption traps and consumption disputes. For instance, (1) telemarketing and visit transactions and door-to-door deals, (2) during the epidemic, parents ordered teaching courses for their children on the phone but wanted to back out afterward. However, they are surprised that the deal cannot be canceled.

In this regard, the consumer protection officer Kang Xin Ren (康馨壬) reminded the new residents that for the aforementioned cases, consumers can cancel the deal and return the goods within 7 days. However, the consumers must think carefully before placing an order to avoid impulsive buying. Unwanted products should be rejected immediately so that subsequent consumption disputes can be avoided. If new residents have any questions, please dial the "Consumer Service Line 1950" to learn more about their consumer rights.

The aforementioned groups of new residents who have not received health insurance cards yet, can still collect the vouchers at the post office by presenting Alien Residence Certificates.

New residents are also reminded that when traveling or shopping with their families, everyone must remember to follow pandemic prevention measures. Shop at ease & revive the economy at the same time.
