According to Bongbong Marcos to gov't agencies: Strictly enforce rice policies | Inquirer News, around 1,000 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) participants received rice that had been smuggled in under Marcos' direction. Each recipient got 25 kilograms of rice, which had earlier been seized by government officers from a warehouse in Zamboanga. The rice that was taken from the storehouse is valued at P42 million.
The distribution of seized rice, according to the President, shows that the administration is serious about lowering rice prices by going after agricultural traffickers and hoarders.
Additionally, this will serve as a message to all hoarders and smugglers that we will defend the nation's rice supply. Smugglers, hoarders, and even abused people who take advantage are not authorized in the "New Philippines," according to Marcos.
