The annual “115 National High School Games” will take place from April 18 to 23 in Chiayi County. As the first nationwide student multi-sport event following the establishment of the Ministry of Sports, preparations have entered the final stage, with more than 20,000 athletes and officials expected to gather for six days of competition.

As the highest-level student sporting event in Taiwan, the Games serve not only as a competitive platform but also as a key stage for nurturing young athletic talent. Under the theme “Beyond Chiayi,” this year's event features 21 sports, including athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, and taekwondo, held across multiple venues.

The opening ceremony will be held on April 18 at the Chiayi County Baseball Stadium, featuring street dance, choir, and percussion performances, along with aerial stunts, drone shows, and fireworks.

In addition to competitions, the event will be accompanied by music performances and city activities, offering visitors a chance to explore local culture, cuisine, and attractions in Chiayi.
