Taipei's summer nighttime festivities are set to begin with the "2026 Taipei Water Dance Carnival" from June 13 to 27 at Rainbow Bridge in Songshan's Xikou Wharf. The biggest highlight is the limited water-and-fire show during the opening and closing ceremonies, combining fountains, flames, lighting effects and low-altitude fireworks to create a spectacular riverside nightscape.

This year's performances have been upgraded with a dual-stage design spanning Rainbow Bridge and the Keelung River. New waterfall-style features and enhanced fountain displays will create an immersive light-and-water theater experience.

The music program spans musicals, movie soundtracks, pop music and anime works. The opening performance will feature The Phantom of the Opera, followed by music from Top Gun, songs by Korean group IVE, and selections from Demon Slayer, adding greater depth to the visual show.

In addition to the water performances, the event will offer family-friendly entertainment, including appearances by internationally recognized cartoon characters and YOYO Family performers. Large IP-themed inflatables will also be displayed on weekends for visitors to enjoy and photograph.

The event will also introduce an interactive "Piano Fountain", allowing visitors to trigger fountain effects by stepping on giant piano keys. Event information and program updates will be announced through official channels.
