For many dual-income families, arranging childcare during a baby's infancy is one of the most important daily concerns. Care arrangements, commuting routes, and compatibility with work schedules are all key considerations. To help working parents better balance career and childcare, Taichung City has established a second employee child care center, becoming the only local government in the nation with two such centers and offering families an additional reliable option.
Construction began in December 2025 and is scheduled for completion in April 2026, with enrollment expected to begin in mid-2026. Operated under a public establishment with private management model, the center will include one class for older infants and one for younger infants, accommodating 36 children in total and providing daytime care. Employees working in the City Hall building will be able to access nearby childcare, reducing commuting time and easing scheduling pressure.

Designed around children's needs, the facility features beige and green tones, curved walls, and rounded corners to create a warm and secure environment. Functional spaces include activity areas, washing areas, administrative offices, and a meal preparation kitchen, ensuring safe management and smooth movement so children can grow in a comfortable setting.
With the second center nearing completion, the dual-site framework is taking shape, offering more practical support to families. Greater childcare convenience allows parents to focus more on both work and family life.
