According to the Taipei City Government, as part of a pilot project, the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation built the Metro Corner at MRT Nanjing Fuxing Station to optimize the use of space within MRT station complexes. MRT riders can "dine-in" or "takeout" at the little food court, which is located both inside and outside the station.

A bakery, a coffee shop, a steamed buns business, and a doughnut shop are part of the trial operation at MRT Nanjing Fuxing Station. Passengers will not need to exit or enter the station to fulfill their hunger for a quick breakfast, afternoon tea, or late-night snack. The facility will be open to the public in March.

The Metro Corner, the first of its kind in Taipei's metro system, is located on B1 (transit corridor) of MRT Nanjing Fuxing Station, near Exit 5, in front of the information desk.

Each stall is set up in such a way that travelers from both inside and outside the MRT station gates can access merchandise, allowing them to select and purchase items without having to enter or exit the station.
