More than 40,000 people's personal information from Taiwan were exposed as a result of a hacking attack on the YouBike system a few days ago. The relevant members will get a 500 NTD per person YouBike 2.0 riding ticket as part of the Company's proposed follow-up compensation plan, which is anticipated to be available in September of this year. In situations of fraud, 50% of the fraudulent amount will be reimbursed.

YouBike Co Ltd announced that it has notified members via SMS to pay attention, finished updating the password strength requirements for all members, and added the verification feature of anti-blocking robots to stop hackers from logging in again in response to the disclosure of members' personal information. Relevant members will get compensation and a 500 NTD per person YouBike 2.0 riding ticket based on the company's social and moral obligations. The riding coupon system is currently being developed and will be rolled out online in September.

Additionally, as part of the fraud compensation plan, YouBike Co. Ltd. will reimburse 50% of the fraudulent amount, up to a maximum of NT$20,000, provided the police if one report by 0:00 on June 1. From June 1 through June 7, members can apply in person for case compensation at YouBike Service Centers all across Taiwan.

YouBike Co Ltd further informs members that the company will not initiate phone calls or text messages to ask one to apply for compensation plans or make remittance requests. Please do not access the website link, comply with operating accounts, ATMs, mobile phone keys, etc., if one receives an unfamiliar call, email, or text message asking for remittance or transfer.
