INDO FOOD, an Indonesian restaurant selected as famous restaurant of New Taipei New Select’s recommendation

The "2022 New Taipei New Select" (2022新北嚴選) event was conducted in New Taipei City the previous year, and 46 items and 31 renowned restaurants were chosen as the recommendations for the public to sample unique foods and present gifts. Consider the well-known gourmet eateries that have passed stringent selection as an example, offering the public a variety of options such as Western-style sweets, Taiwanese snacks, Indonesian food, etc.

It was noted by the Economic Development Department, New Taipei City Government that the "2022 New Taipei New Select" involved "expert review" and "online voting" in two separate phases. It is intended that "New Taipei New Select" would increase awareness of the local cuisine, nice items, and good shops in New Taipei City.

The Indonesian restaurant "INDO FOOD" (印食堂) is one of the many renowned gourmet eateries that were chosen. It is located in the Zhonghe District's back lanes. The shop offers a variety of Indonesian goods in addition to meals. The owner is a Singkawang-born Indonesian Chinese woman. She used to be a nurse at a hospital, but she made the decision to open her own Indonesian restaurant since she enjoys cooking and wants to spend more time at home raising her children.
