The 2026 Taipei Water Festival has continued to attract visitors since opening on June 13 at Rainbow Bridge and Xikou Wharf in Taipei’s Songshan District. Featuring a rare dual-stage water show performed both on the bridge and on the river surface, the event offers a unique summer evening experience along the Keelung River.
This year’s festival combines water displays with music, lighting, and visual effects to create an immersive outdoor spectacle. In addition to the special “Water and Fire Symphony” performances scheduled for the opening and closing events, visitors can enjoy a variety of musical selections ranging from classic musicals and movie soundtracks to popular contemporary hits.
The venue also features themed installations inspired by My Little Pony and the PINGU family, making the waterfront a popular destination for families and photography enthusiasts. These attractions add to the festive atmosphere surrounding the event.
A new interactive attraction, the “Piano Fountain,” has also been introduced this year. Visitors can step on oversized piano keys to create melodies and activate a personalized mini fountain performance. The festival runs through June 27, with multiple water show performances scheduled each evening, offering residents and tourists another reason to enjoy Taipei’s summer nights.
