As concert tickets become increasingly difficult to obtain, many fans turn to social media in search of resale offers. Taiwan's 165 Anti-Fraud Center warns that scammers frequently exploit this demand by advertising tickets at face value or claiming they have the "last available ticket" to lure victims into transferring money.

According to the 165 Anti-Fraud Center, scammers often claim they can reserve a ticket only if payment is made immediately. Once the money is transferred, they disappear by blocking the buyer or deleting their account, leaving victims without tickets or refunds.

Authorities remind the public to purchase tickets only through official ticketing platforms and avoid private transactions. Buyers should never provide bank account information, online banking passwords, or verification codes to unknown individuals.

The 165 Anti-Fraud Center also notes that illegally reselling tickets at inflated prices may result in fines of up to 50 times the ticket price, while using automated software to obtain tickets may carry a prison sentence of up to three years. Anyone who suspects fraud is encouraged to contact the 165 Anti-Fraud hotline for assistance.
