To welcome the May Day holiday, Tainan will host an outdoor music festival along the canal on the evenings of May 1 and May 2. Combining waterfront night views with live performances, the event creates an open music space over two consecutive nights. The venues include Guang 8 Plaza on Huanhe Street and areas around Hele Plaza, offering a riverside setting for audiences to enjoy performances and nighttime atmosphere.

The festival features multiple singers and bands performing in rotation, covering pop, indie, and hip-hop genres. From popular bands to singer-songwriters, the lineup offers diverse styles. Continuous performances over two nights allow visitors to plan their schedule freely, whether stopping by briefly or attending the full program, enhancing flexibility and overall engagement time.

Beyond the performances, the canal surroundings extend into the event space. Visitors can walk along riverside paths or take boat rides to enjoy reflections of lights on the water. In recent years, landscape improvements and lighting design have gradually transformed the canal into a space suitable for nighttime stays, connecting stage and waterfront into a continuous urban night route.

As part of the "Tainan Canal Centennial" series, the canal area is evolving into a space that combines performances and leisure. By linking music with waterfront scenery, the event not only provides more nighttime options during the holiday but also highlights new ways of using urban space at different times, enhancing waterfront life and tourism atmosphere.
