According to PH Army, NGO launch key greening program | Inquirer News, with the aid of the organization Tarlac Heritage Foundation, the Philippine Army has started a forestry effort as part of a major fight against climate change.

At the camp of the Armor (Pambato) Division, construction on an eight-hectare experimental project will shortly begin.

One of the foundational elements of this greening effort is the giant bamboo seedlings.

Col. Charlemagne Batayola, the chief of staff of the Armor Division, Maj. Gen. Facundo Palafox IV, the division commander, and Isabel Cojuangco Suntay, the creator of the Tarlac Heritage Division, are in charge of this initiative.

Additionally, the Armor Division's enlisted members pledged their support for the environmental initiative.
