  • Taiwan intends to lift the public transportation mask restrictions on April 17

The mask restriction will be further relaxed beginning on April 17, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC). Except for "medical care institutions" and "ambulances". People can choose whether to wear masks or not when they travel via public transit, attend school, and other locations. The CECC said that it had considered three key factors, including the group's improved immune defense, the low threat posed by the mutant strain pandemic, and the public's individual decision to wear masks in response to the circumstances. The mandatory to wear a mask is adjusted to a recommendation when traveling on campus shuttle buses, school buses, kindergarten special vehicles, etc. The choice to wear a mask is up to the teachers and students.
