Mothers who always put their children first, while temporarily stepping away from the workplace to pursue family happiness, can now bravely take steps back into the workforce. In 2026, the government launched the “Women Re-employment Program,” offering flexible working hours to help mothers balance work and family more easily. The government is not only providing financial support, but also workplace assistance such as flexible schedules and emotional counseling, allowing mothers to return to work without worries. Eligible Applicants for the “Women Re-employment Program”
Women: Women who have been out of the labor market for more than 180 days(mothers who left work for over six months due to family responsibilities are eligible)。 

Employers: Private businesses, organizations, or private schools covered by employment insurance and registered with public employment service agencies for recruitment(excluding political organizations and parties)。 

Reward Programs and Standards
The Ministry of Labor is promoting the “Women Re-employment Program” by providing “Self-training Incentives,” “Re-employment Incentives,” and “Workplace Support Incentives” for women who have left the labor market for more than 180 days, warmly supporting women returning to work: 

Self-training Incentives
Women are encouraged to plan self-training programs to improve their existing professional skills. Applicants may apply through branches of the Workforce Development Agency under the Ministry of Labor. After completing training and registering as job seekers, participants will receive NT$20,000. Re-employment Incentives
This incentive encourages women to return to work and maintain stable employment. Women who register with public employment service agencies and secure employment through referrals or independently within 90 days after registration are eligible. Full-time employees who work continuously for the same employer for at least 30 days will receive NT$10,000 per month for up to six months, with a maximum of NT$60,000. Part-time employees whose hourly wages are not lower than the minimum wage and whose monthly salary reaches at least half of the monthly minimum wage, and who work for the same employer for at least 30 days, will receive NT$5,000 per month for up to six months, with a maximum of NT$30,000。

Workplace Support Incentives
Employers are encouraged to provide workplace support measures for women, including adjusted working hours and at least one additional support measure(such as career development programs, family care assistance or subsidies, employee support programs, on-the-job training, dedicated training materials, emotional counseling, or care services)。Employers who register job openings with public employment service agencies and hire women who have been out of the labor market for more than 180 days, while providing workplace support measures for at least 30 days within 180 days after employment, will receive NT$5,000 per month per employee for up to 12 months。

  2. Online registration: Women may apply through the women’s re-employment section on Taiwan Jobs;employers may apply through the employer section。
  3. Employment promotion workshops: Check the “Women Re-employment Employment Promotion Courses” list for free lectures on interview skills。
  4. Required documents: ID card, proof of leaving the workforce(bank/household registration), employment contract, with easy online uploads。
