Volunteers from the Holy Moon Palace Temple in Yilan went to Chia Hsin Village, Hsin Cheng Township, in Hualien to donate 130 sets of living supplies and 300 kilograms of white rice
to show their care. The local people thanked the volunteers for their spirit, efforts, and righteous deeds to help the village. The Holy Moon Palace Temple is also hoping to attract more charitable units to jointly care for the disadvantaged.

Chia Hsin Village is the southernmost village in Hsin Cheng Township. It is adjacent to Hualien City in the southeast and west. It used to be a part of Chia Li Village, with the main population of the village composed of veterans, aboriginals, southern Fujian, and Hakka in addition to the new immigrants. In a village with multi-ethnic groups, the villagers who went to receive the donations frankly said that in recent years, the economic environment is bad.

In addition, the villagers also said that the Holy Moon Palace Temple upholds the spirit of selfless dedication and the spirit of helping the people and donating to the disadvantaged.
