More than 1,000 contestants will compete in Taipei City, while international professionals take on the challenge of completing a dream wedding in 10 hours. The 56th National Skills Competition will run from July 29 to August 2 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, featuring 68 trades and free hands-on activities.

The newly launched "Skills in Action" show will bring together professionals from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and immigrant communities to prepare a wedding. Audiences can watch their division of labor, on-site coordination and completed creations in a cross-disciplinary skills challenge.

At the "Try a Skill" stations, visitors can experience manufacturing and engineering, construction, creative arts and fashion, and social and personal services. Mascots Guangbi and Lubi will also appear in a skills-themed costume show, with selected teams creating capes, hats and professional accessories for an audience vote.

Competition, interactive activities and industry trends will share the same venue. Focusing on automotive technology, the "Smart Manufacturing Future Pavilion" will combine corporate displays, career exploration and industry talks, helping students, parents and jobseekers understand workplace applications and related careers.

The competition runs from July 29 to August 2, with free public admission from July 30 to August 1 at Halls 1 and 2 of Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Schedules, show details and voting rules are available on the event website, Facebook page "Skills Competition Power Up" and Instagram account "worldskillstw".
