Summer overseas travel is in full swing, with Taoyuan International Airport handling more than 25.78 million passengers in the first half of the year, the highest figure ever recorded for the same period and surpassing pre-pandemic levels. As traffic peaks in July and August, travelers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure.

To accommodate growing travel demand, the airport has expanded terminal services and smart facilities, encouraging passengers to use online check-in, self-service baggage drop and e-Gate automated immigration clearance to improve processing efficiency.

Beyond passenger services, the airport will also host art performances, an aviation safety interactive challenge and the fourth Taoyuan Airport Experience Camp during the summer. The camp will offer three sessions with 108 places, nearly 30% more than last year, and will include its first guided tour of the North Concourse of Terminal 3.

The airport estimates about 46,000 flight movements during July and August, averaging more than 750 flights a day. Travelers are advised to check passport validity, destination entry requirements and airline baggage regulations before departure to avoid travel disruptions.
