The "Penghu Ferry" will make its maiden voyage in October between Anping and Magong, offering a limited-time 3-day, 2-night island-hopping tour starting at NT$4,299 per person. This allows travelers to combine a trip to both Tainan's ancient capital and the island of Penghu. Taiwan's newest large luxury passenger/cargo ship will also be deployed on this sightseeing route for the first time, combining a cruise experience with a dual-city tour – two major highlights of this trial voyage.

This limited-time tour was jointly developed by travel agencies and the Tainan City Travel Industry Association, emphasizing a dual travel experience of Tainan and Penghu. It connects Tainan's culture and cuisine with Penghu's charm, allowing travelers to experience the unique characteristics of both cities and islands in one trip.

The tour is planned for 3 days and 2 nights. Travelers can arrange their Tainan and Penghu itineraries according to packages offered by travel agencies, and travel between the two cities on the Penghu Ferry. This trial voyage not only provides a new domestic island-hopping option but also allows a large sightseeing passenger/cargo ship to be deployed on the Anping-Magong route.

The Penghu ferry, winner of the 2025 German iF Design Award and the TAIWAN Hi Shipping Brand Gold Award, can carry 600 passengers. In addition to offering various cabin types and rest areas, it also has vehicle transport capabilities, combining sightseeing and transportation functions. Since its launch in 2025, the Anping-Magong sightseeing route has achieved a passenger satisfaction rate of nearly 95%.

This limited-time trial voyage will depart on October 2nd and return on October 4th, with a 3-day, 2-night itinerary starting at NT$4,299 per person. Places are limited.
