Taiwan's first immersive art exhibition, “Eternal Picasso: Art, Muses, and Companions,” is on view from January 1 to April 6, 2026, at Hall 1 of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Through immersive light and visual technology, the exhibition reinterprets the lifelong creative energy of twentieth-century master Pablo Picasso, inviting visitors to step into a world shaped by art, emotion, and history.

Centered on the theme “Art, Muses, and Companions,” the exhibition connects key turning points in Picasso's career through large-scale projections, surround sound, and spatial storytelling. From the solitude and social reflection of the Blue Period, to the tenderness of the Rose Period, and the visual revolution of Cubism, the exhibition presents how Picasso continuously broke boundaries and reshaped modern art.

The curatorial narrative places special emphasis on the muses and significant figures in Picasso's life, using layered imagery, color, and text to reveal the emotional forces behind his work. As visitors move through the exhibition, they are guided to understand how artistic creation is deeply intertwined with lived experience.

Through sound and light design, several iconic works are reimagined at their conceptual core, transforming static paintings into immersive environments. Strong color contrasts and rhythmic audio in selected sections respond to themes of war, conflict, and humanity, highlighting Picasso's keen observation of his era.

The organizers state that the exhibition aims to bring audiences closer to art through immersive formats, allowing visitors of all ages and backgrounds to discover their own perspectives within light and shadow, and to rediscover why Picasso continues to influence contemporary art and visual culture.
