According to Reuters, science-fiction blockbuster “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” directed by James Cameron, has crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide box office takings in less than a month, adding another high-profile achievement to the director's career. Walt Disney Studios said the film has earned about $1.03 billion globally, with roughly $306 million coming from the U.S. and Canada and the rest generated overseas, highlighting the franchise's sustained strength across international markets.

The movie is the third chapter in the “Avatar” saga and continues the narrative established in “The Way of Water.” It follows Jake Sully and Neytiri as they face fresh threats and environmental tensions in the richly imagined world of Pandora. Since the first “Avatar” was released in 2009, the series has been built on large-scale production, advanced visual effects and immersive storytelling, collectively drawing an estimated $6.35 billion in global ticket sales.

Industry analysts note that Cameron remains among a small group of filmmakers with multiple films surpassing $1 billion in box office revenue. “Titanic” was his first to reach that milestone, while the original “Avatar” still stands as the highest-grossing film in cinema history. The strong performance of “Fire and Ash” once again underscores the enduring commercial power of major film franchises in the global box office landscape.
