The Ministry of Labor (MOL, 勞動部) will begin accepting applications today for the "School Subsidy for Children of Unemployed Workers" (失業勞工子女就學補助) for the first semester of the 2021 academic year. The school subsidies are applicable to the following: children of public and private high school vocational schools and children of public and private colleges. Applications will be accepted until October 14th.

The MOL stated during the application period for the “School Subsidy for Unemployed Workers”, applicants must not participate in government agencies’ employment-promoting measures or programs. Therefore, if they participate in the An Hsin Immediate Work Program (安心即時上工計畫), they cannot apply for school subsidies. If they are already eligible for tuition exemption from the Ministry of Education (MOE, 教育部) or applying for other government education subsidies, they cannot apply for the education subsidy for children of unemployed workers.
