According to DEpEd's revised K-10 curriculum pilot run begins Monday | Cebu Daily News (inquirer.net), after the curriculum and teaching strand of the Department of Education (DepEd) finished the training for the teachers who would manage the courses, DepEd is prepared to pilot apply the new K–10 curriculum on Monday, September 25.

DepEd said on Sunday that the school and division office staff who would participate in the implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the reworked and decongested "Matatag" curriculum had completed their orientation.

As it took DepEd some time to find the 35 participating public schools from seven areas, the pilot exam would be administered approximately a month after the start of courses.

The participating areas have also received the cash needed to facilitate the implementation.

According to DEpEd's revised K-10 curriculum pilot run begins Monday | Cebu Daily News (inquirer.net), before the Matatag curriculum is gradually implemented starting in the academic year 2024–2025, a pilot test will be conducted to identify problems and gaps.
