The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 衛服部疾管署) announced 29 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan on July 6. Of the 29 cases, 27 are domestic and the other 2 are imported. CECC also announced 17 deaths on the same day.

CECC pointed out that of the 27 domestic cases, 17 are men and the other 10 are women, aged between 5 to 79 years old. They reported symptoms between June 10 and July 5.
Regarding those domestic cases, Taipei City reported most cases, at 14, and New Taipei City had the second highest number, at 11. Pingtung County and Changhua County reported 1 case each.

Regarding the two new imported cases, Case #15180 is a Taiwanese male in his teens. He arrived in Taiwan from the US on July 4. He began to experience an abnormal sense of smell on July 5. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 6.
