Penghu isn’t just a summer hotspot-it’s an exciting vacation destination all year round! The Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has combined representative ecological tourism resources for each season to launch the "2025 Penghu Four Seasons Tourism" series of events. Carefully selected seasonal experiences include "Winter - Heritage Season", "Spring - Seagull Watching Season", "Summer - Stone Weir Season", and "Autumn - Unique Rock Season".
These activities feature ecological tours, hands-on experiences, visits to century-old traditional houses, and cultural walks, all centered around sustainable tourism, inviting travelers to explore the hidden beauty of Penghu.
2025 Penghu Four Seasons Tourism Overview
The "2025 Penghu Four Seasons Tourism" series will kick off from February to April with the "Winter - Heritage Season", starting with the traditional Lantern Festival Turtle Blessing event. The Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has collaborated with 24 local temples to introduce the "Lantern Festival Turtle Stamp Collection" activity.
Following this, from May to August, the "Spring - Seagull Watching Season" will offer boat trips to various islands, allowing visitors to observe and learn about the fascinating ecology of several tern species.Spring - Seagull Watching Season will take visitors on a boat tour to island-hop and admire seagulls. From June to September, the "Summer - Stone Weir Season" will guide visitors to Jibei Island to experience the traditional stone weir culture and join nighttime stargazing activities. Lastly, from September to November, the "Autumn - Unique Rock Season" will showcase Penghu's stunning geological landscapes, allowing visitors to marvel at nature's masterpieces. Since 2022, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has actively promoted year-round tourism, breaking the stereotype that Penghu is only suitable for summer travel. In response to changing travel trends, the administration has deeply explored Penghu’s local charm, integrating geological landscapes, marine and ecological resources, agricultural and fishery industries, and cultural heritage. By tailoring themed travel experiences to each season and climate, Penghu has become a delightful vacation destination for all four seasons.
