The North Coast&rsquos most iconic marine cultural experience, &ldquoSanwanjin Cultural Tour,&rdquo returns this summer! From June 28 through August, the New Taipei City Government&rsquos Cultural Affairs Department will spotlight four major cultural highlights&mdashJinshan Fire Fishing, Wanli Shore Seine, Yulu Historic Trail, and Sanzhi Stone Weirs&mdashinviting the public to explore the region and immerse themselves in the deep-rooted history of fishing villages and maritime culture.
According to the Cultural Affairs Department, this year&rsquos event has been expanded and continues to collaborate with the Ocean Affairs Council to promote two core themes: &ldquoJinshan Fire Fishing&rdquo and &ldquoSanzhi Stone Weir.&rdquo The goal is to showcase cultural sustainability along the North Coast and reinforce its youthful marine tourism identity. To preserve traditional fishing methods, the department is implementing a three-year sustainable fire fishing project.
