Residents living near Taoyuan International Airport who are affected by aircraft noise can now apply for a new round of subsidies. The Taoyuan Department of Environmental Protection said applications for the ninth airport noise prevention subsidy program opened on June 1. Eligible households may receive up to NT$60,000, with about 55,000 households expected to benefit.
The subsidy covers 38 villages in Taoyuan City and New Taipei City. Applications will be accepted until December 31, 2027. Subsidy amounts are based on aircraft noise levels, ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$60,000 per household.
To simplify the process, eligible residents are encouraged to apply online. Applicants who completed the previous round and have no changes in their information only need to submit an ID document and a recent electricity bill. Households relocated under the Taoyuan Aerotropolis land acquisition and relocation project should also apply during the application period.
Applications close on December 31, 2027. Late submissions or incomplete documents will not be accepted. Buildings used for commercial purposes, vacant properties, storage facilities, or livestock raising are not eligible for the subsidy.
